Meet our adorable little foster – Skyler Rose. She is a great little girl and you will fall in love quickly!
Sadly, Skyler Rose’s human Mom has become very ill and can no longer care for Skyler Rose. One of her biggest concerns is “will my girl be OK”. CRT is committed to honor her wishes and find a wonderful forever home for Skyler Rose. We know you, our CRT community, will help us by “sharing” her story.
Skyler Rose gets along great with the other small dogs in her foster home. She has fit in perfectly, following their lead and letting them set the pace. She has a pleasant personality and the other dogs love her. Her foster siblings are a little older, so they are not much fun! But she hangs around, shares her doggy bed and enjoys their company. Skyler Rose loves, loves, loves toys. She wants to play with them all day. She hopes you have a big toy box.
Skyler Rose loves people. She is super friendly. Skyler Rose wants to become your best friend. She loves you TOTALLY, with her whole heart. She loves sitting on your lap and cuddling all night long. Skyler Rose gives you lots of kisses each day, just to let you know that she loves you. This girl has the sweetest soul and she will melt your heart.
Skyler Rose is very smart. She loves treats and will “sit” for a treat. If you offer a treat and say “down”, she will put her front paws down and stick her tail in the air, almost as if she is bowing for her treat. Oh she makes us smile.
Skyler Rose is working on her potty training. We are putting her on a schedule so she can pick up the routine. At night she likes to sleep in her doggie bed inside of an ex-pen or crate. She is also leash trained and enjoys walking on a harness and a leash. We think she would enjoy daily walks.
Skyler Rose is about 1 1/2 years old and a perfect 8 pounds. She is 1/2 Chihuahua and 1/2 Pug, and that makes her absolutely adorable. She has a light colored coat with some black mixed in. When she looks at you with her big brown eyes and those floppy ears, you will melt.
The ideal home for Skyler Rose would be one with high to moderate energy. She would love to have another young dog (maybe 1-3 years) to play with. But we think she would also make a great only dog as long as her family is around to give her a lot of attention. Skyler Rose needs a family who can check on her every 4-6 hours (would not be a good fit for a family that works 10-12 hour days). She is fairly quiet, even when the other dogs are alerting at the UPS delivery person! There are no children in her foster home, but she is a friendly little girl. We think she would do well with older, mature children (10 and older).
