Meet Mimsy!
Mimsy is a tan female chihuahua about 6 years in age. This little gal needs a special home that can care for her and won’t abandon her in her time of need. Mimsy was comatose when she was surrendered to CRT. With the help of veterinarians, CRT was able to nurse her back to health and discovered that she is diabetic. Mimsy is now on insulin and has a new lease on life!
Mimsy excels at being a lap dog (she is definitely a velcro dog!), but she also enjoys playing with toys. She loves fetching squeaky toys and ripping out their squeakers! She loves burrowing under blankets and would love to sleep in, whether in her own bed or her humans’ bed. Mimsy has an appreciation for fashion and likes to wear a nice coat when it’s cold out. Mimsy loves both dogs and cats, but she doesn’t like all men. She will bark at men who are noisy and who stomp around the home, doing her best to banish them, but if she meets a dog whispering man, she wags her tail and will accept attention and pets from him.
Mimsy does great on a leash. She is crate trained. She knows how to potty outside but also uses a pee pad when necessary.
Mimsy has been spayed and also had a recent dental. Due to her diabetes, she will need insulin twice a day for the rest of her life. She is up to date on her vaccinations. She takes monthly heartworm prevention and is heartworm negative. Mimsy is also microchipped.
Mimsy’s adoption donation is $300.
