*** Happy Tails – A Senior Adoption! ***
Congratulations to Lucky who has found his forever home with his new Mom Lea and 4 legged sister Bella.
Lucky is a senior. He surrendered to CRT when his elderly owners could no longer care for him. This broke our hearts, and we accepted him into our CRT program immediately. One of Lea’s pets, Lily, sadly crossed the Rainbow Bridge last April due to congestive heart failure. When Lea saw Lucky’s picture and story, she was immediately intrigued. Lucky had similar coloring as Lily and even the same light colored brown nose. And he was a senior (Lea loves seniors). It was as if Lucky was meant to be part of the family. Their first meeting went perfectly and he has now found his forever home! Here is an update from Lea:
I adore Lucky. Lucky has settled in so quickly. He has a laid back, friendly personality and fits right into our routines. He is definitely loyal – he follows me everywhere! He also will “talk” to me. He tells me when he wants to go outside and he will tell me if it is supper time. He has the cutest “little old man bark” and it melts my heart. My other Chiweenie, Bella, adores Lucky. She is a senior too so they have similar personalities and similar habits. They love to hang out together. And they take team naps on the futon in my home office. We recently visited my daughter and her family, including her 90 pound sheep dog Sully. Lucky loved him. And Lucky loves his cousin’s huge bed – immediately setting into that and taking it over! Lucky has the best personality and makes me smile every day. Every day I tell myself I am the “lucky” one for having this guy. Thank you CRT for saving his life, for updating all his medical work (including a dental) and for choosing our home as his forever home. A special thank you to Dr Fran for taking such great care of him.
