Heather adopted her first Chihuahua in 2004, after being raised with big dogs, and she’s never looked back since! In 2020, Heather was looking for a new companion for her male Chi as her senior female Chi was failing. Heather applied to adopt a little black Chi mix from CRT, but after a conversation with Carla, she quickly welcomed Miss Sarah into her home! Heather had been fostering for another local rescue for a year, but once she connected with CRT, she quickly found her people. Heather has fostered many dogs for CRT, and has grown into fostering both medical cases as well as puppy mill dogs with behavioral issues. She also helps with placing dogs in adoptive homes, administrative tasks, transports, and spells other foster families when they need a break! When she isn’t busy with the Chihuahua’s, Heather is remodeling her home, working for a financial institution in supplier management, or coming up with an improvement that will make her pack’s lives better.
