Gidget is a sweet and spunky little lady with a heart full of love. Though she still has bursts of energy, her congestive heart failure has slowed her down a bit, making long walks a thing of the past. However, that does not stop her from enjoying the great outdoors, she is carried in a sling so she can still soak up the fresh air she adores.
She is a social butterfly in her own way, happily accepting pets from others. Gidget is not much of a barker, but if her buddy Jellie starts up, she’s quick to join in as backup! At an estimated 14-15 years old, she has some incontinence issues. Despite her age and health challenges, Gidget is incredibly alert and responsive. She knows her name and will come bouncing over when called. She is a true foodie, always knowing exactly when it’s mealtime or snack time. One of her most endearing quirks? When you pick her up, she “talks” in little moaning sounds, responding when you chat with her—it is like having a tiny, furry conversationalist!
She is a champ when it comes to taking her medication, and besides her congestive heart failure and stage 4-5 heart murmur, she’s been doing well at her vet visits. Gidget may be a senior pup, but her spirit is as lively and lovable as ever!
