*** Happy Tails Celebration ***
Congratulations to Becca who has found her forever home with Cory, Fred and 4 legged brother Teddy.
Becca was one of the 5 Chihuahua puppies that were found dumped in the woods on the outskirts of Dallas. Thankfully some Good Samaritans found them and contacted CRT asking for help. Cory and Fred had a little Chihuahua, Mia, who recently passed over the Rainbow Bridge. In memory of Mia, they wanted to help a rescue group and agreed to foster. They quickly stepped up to foster Becca.
Well, little Becca captured this family’s hearts, and now she is a permanent member of the family. We are thrilled for Becca, and for her family. From lost in the woods, to living in a beautiful and loving home – what a perfect ending. With a new home comes a new name – Gertie. The future is bright for Gertie and her entire family.
Here is an update from the family:
Gertie is the sweetest little girl. We absolutely adore her. Gertie was shy when she first came into our home. She has grown more confident each week. Gertie loves “working” with her Mom Cory. Cory has a home office, and Gertie spends her day sitting on Cory’s lap, helping her type emails, and even sneaking into zoom calls on occasion! Gertie is warm and loving. She enjoys being held. And she loves dresses and little outfits! Gertie also loves her Daddy, Fred. She has him wrapped around her little paw! Gertie and Teddy get along well. Teddy was so lonely when Mia passed away, and now he has a smile on his face as he teaches Gertie all the family routines. We are so grateful to the Good Samaritans who rescued Gertie and her siblings from the woods. And a huge thank you to all the CRT volunteers who step up to help these Chihuahuas. You are changing Chihuahua’s lives and family’s lives. We are grateful to have been a part of this journey.
