Anubis (or Nubi, as his foster family calls him) is a tan 6 pound, approximately 8-9 year old male chihuahua ready for his forever home!
Nubi is very affectionate and playful. He loves to play with toys. Initially he is shy but opens up once he knows you and feels safe. He can be a bit clingy at times which has improved since he has become more secure in his environment. He likes other small dogs. He has a high drive to chase cats so should only go to a home with cats that are dog savvy. Due to his small size and the fact that he is initially shy, we are recommending that Nubi go to a home without children. A home with another small dog he can play with would be nice but he may also potentially do well as an only dog as long as his human(s) are prepared to play with him and give him enough attention.
Nubi is house trained but also able to go on pee pads. He is leash trained but it is also recommended he go to a home with a fenced yard.
Nubi is neutered, fully vetted, and up to date on his vaccinations. He is heartworm negative and takes monthly heartworm prevention. He is also microchipped.
Anubis is a very sweet little boy who just needs a forever home where he can feel secure enough to allow his personality to shine! He is playful and affectionate and ready to snuggle up next to his forever family.

An application must be submitted and approved before a meet-n-greet can be scheduled.
Your current dogs/cats must be spayed or neutered unless a veterinarian has determined that your current pet(s) should not be fixed due to medical reasons. They must also be up-to-date on shots and on HW preventative.
Reference checks and a home visit are required so our southeast dogs can only be adopted in NC/SC, VA, TN, AL, MD and GA.
