Callie is almost 12 years old and weighs in at about 8 lbs. Callie joined CRT in January of 2016, and was found injured on the road after spending her life as a breeder at a puppy mill. Have you ever seen such a sad little face?
It has been a long road for this little miss, when she came to us she was terrified of people and it took almost two years of care by her foster family for her to stop defecating when picked up. She still flinches when touched, but loves when her foster mom rubs the top of her head and will give both her foster mom and dad kisses on their hands.
Callie loves to run around and do zoomies, but still hasn’t quite figured out toys! She’s proven to be very smart and now does a cute spin as a trick to get a cookie. She doesn’t like leashes, as soon as any tension is put on it she will drop to the ground.
Callie is pee pad trained, and while she has very few teeth left in her little mouth she loves her kibble and the special soft food she gets at night! Callie loves her foster fur siblings and hates being seperated from them, She loves my two chihuahuas and hates being separated from them.
Callie is in excellent health and aside from getting her anal glands expressed regularly she only sees the dogtor for her annual visit and shots.
