*** New Foster Welcome! ***
Welcome to the program to our newest CRT foster, Archie!
Archie was found running loose in a public area in Mesquite TX (suburb of Dallas). It was during the freezing cold weather in January, and he was cold and hungry. There was no one around looking for him. He did not have a collar nor a microchip. The Good Samaritans who found him did everything possible to find his family and when no one stepped forward, they reached out to CRT to ask if we could find him a forever family.
We are so happy to have this guy. We have taken him to the vet to start his vet work. Our vet thinks he is about 10 weeks old and he barely weighs 3 pounds. We have given him the first set of puppy vaccinations and will do two more rounds, then have him neutered and microchipped. He will be ready for adoption in early April.
We have named him Archie. He has the cutest look and longer fur. We were trying to figure out what he was mixed with. Thanks to the generous donation from one of our followers, we were able to get a DNA kit. We did a DNA test and the results are back. Archie is 47% Chihuahua, 23% Miniature Schnauzer, 22% Pembroke Welsh Corgi and 8% Toy Fox Terrier. And he is 100% adorable!
We are just getting to know him, but we adore him. He loves to play with the other small dogs in his foster home. He loves toys. And he loves snuggling with his family. He is super smart and has been learning potty habits very quickly! We are so happy to help this little one along his journey and we know there is a great home out there for him.
Welcome Archie. You are in great hands!
We will update his bio as we get to know him more!
