Meet our newest CRT family: Ginger and her 8 puppies!

Ginger is currently nursing her puppies and doing a great job. Once they are weaned (probably early March) we will take the family to the vet to begin vaccinations. We will separate the Mom from the puppies at that point (we put the puppies into foster homes in sets of 2). The puppies will go through 3 rounds of puppy vaccinations and then will be spayed / neutered and microchipped. They will then be ready for adoption. This will likely be in the late May timeframe.
If your family is interesting in fostering-to-adopt, feel free to fill out our adoption application. You must live in the DFW area and you must use our vet which is in the Plano area.
These dogs are a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $350 adoption fee for each puppy is required (all vet work is completed). Ginger’s adoption fee will be $300 (all vet work is completed).
As part of our mission to reduce the number of unwanted and sick dogs, we require that all current pets are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and taking heart worm prevention. Applications will not be considered if one or more of these requirements are not met.
After filling out an adoption application (found at http://www.chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application/), please email DFWCoordinator@chihuahua-rescue.com if you are interested in this dog. Please be sure to read about our adoption process and then fill out an adoption application before emailing the contact person.
