****HAPPY TAILS ADOPTION ALERT!!****
Congratulations to Winston who has found his forever home with prior adopters MIchelle and Wan!
Michelle and Wan adopted Oakley from CRT in June of this year. As we moved towards the holidays, they reached out to us to ask if they could help save another Chihuahua by fostering for us. We were thrilled to have them on board, and had the perfect little boy for them to start with – Winston.
Winston is about one year old. He was surrendered to the Henderson,TX Animal Shelter (about 2 hours from Dallas) by an elderly owner who could no longer care for him. He was a bit undersocialized and was very shy. Within two weeks of arriving at his foster home, Winston was turning his life around. He went from hiding under blankets to sitting on his Mom and Dad’s lap and cuddling. And his foster family was falling in love. Well, they have made it official. They are “foster failing” and Winston has found his forever home. What a great way to start the new year!
Here is an update from his family:
Winston has made a remarkable turnaround since arriving at our home. He has gone from shy and reserved to happy and playful. Winston loves his two Chihuahua brothers – Oakley (CRT Alum) and Oliver. He will play and then snuggle with them for team naps. We go on family walks every day. At first Winston was apprehensive about the harness. Now he comes running when we get the harness and leash out – he loves our family walks. Each morning, Winston wakes up, nuzzles against our necks and gives us morning kisses. He is so grateful to be here, and we are grateful to add him to our family. Thank you to the CRT team for letting us foster him and now adopt him.
