Andrea has been a volunteer and foster mom for CRT DFW since October of 2017. Growing up, she always loved animals, especially dogs, and wanted to be a veterinarian. Vet school didn’t work out so she finished her degree and found her calling as a teacher. She has now been teaching for 18 years.
She got her first chihuahuas at the same time as her first year of teaching. They instantly became her “children” and when she began fostering they always helped show the new ones the ropes to teach them how to be balanced dogs in a pack. She has a special place in her heart for the scared or sick ones, but will always jump at the chance to foster a litter of puppies.
Andrea is excited to serve on the Board of Directors and continue to strive towards saving more precious lives.
